Our story
About Little Basics
Little Basics started with a drawer. Specifically, with the Sunday-evening discovery that a drawer full of kids' underwear contained exactly two wearable pairs: the rest outgrown, worn thin, or down to a single sock each. The replacement run — a mall trip, three small packs at single-pair prices, home again by dark — felt like a problem that packaging could solve.
What we sell: kids' basics multipacks, and why packs
We sell the unglamorous core of a child's wardrobe: underwear, undershirts, camisoles, socks, leggings and thermal layers for kids in sizes 4 to 14. Everything is sold in multipacks sized around real routines — a school week, a wash cycle, a season — and every pack prints its per-pair cost, because 'value' you cannot verify is just a word.
What we care about
Comfort details children can feel but never see advertised on a hanger: covered elastic instead of bare elastic, printed labels instead of scratchy tags, seams placed away from rub points, heels and toes reinforced where socks actually die. And honesty details parents can check: where a fabric specification is still being confirmed with our supplier, the product page says so in plain words rather than inventing a number.
How we operate
Little Basics is an online-only store. We do not operate a US warehouse or retail storefront; fulfilment arrangements are confirmed with each order by email before payment. Our current catalogue is a launch collection: product photography and descriptions are presented for preview, and every order is confirmed personally by email — including final specifications and delivery arrangements — before any payment is taken. That confirmation step is deliberate. Until our fulfilment is fully established, we would rather confirm each order like people than process it like a machine.
